Pierre Haulot and William Boullier have produced a watch concept where time is viewed as a 'progress bar'.

In their own words:

"The relationship between the consumer and his watch is really important. The consumer identifies himself with his watch. It needs to reflect his personality and his way of life. Life is a succession of short or long term goals.

"Elio Linea is a watch which shows you your position on a linear scale (like a computer downloading gauge). You can visualize your position in a predetermined period, with the time spent and the time remaining."

Based on a personal computer that accompanies you through your day and context-oriented docking stations at personal spaces like in the office or at home. Those stations are matching the needs of the user in their particular surrounding, like home entertainment in the living room or conferences and multi-tasking at the office.The computer itself is a OLED-touchscreen slider, with a second hidden touchscreen underneath. This way, it gives you a similar working experience as with a 2-monitor setup. It is controlled per hand or via a “senstylus pen”, that you can use like a normal pen or twist it and use it as a 3d-sensor remote, with a sensor field under the thumb for precise menu controls.

Norwegian designers Ralston & Bau have designed an outdoor information display system for a glacier. Made of a bespoke plastic made by recycled plastics company Durat,inspired by the biggest growing glacier of the European continent, Glacier Moduls are designed for the Jostedal Glacier National Park in Norway.

Lodged in the unique Norwegian nature, the modules give visitors more information as they approach the ice. The deep blue-greenish color and the transparency of the ice is reflected in the 100% recyclable plastic, custom made by Durat for Ralston & Bau.(Via:Dezeen)
